Sugar Grove Ace Hardware will hold its ninth-annual pumpkin painting event on Saturday, Oct. 29.
“Our kids’ pumpkin painting event has been enjoyed by hundreds of kids over the last nine years," store owner Mark Driscoll said on the store's Facebook page. "It’s a win-win as our local kids get to have some safe, clean fun creating their pumpkins, and with the donation going to CMN (Children's Miracle Network), the kids at Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago benefit also.”
The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and is open to children aged 12 and under.
For a $3 donation to Children's Miracle Network/Lurie Children’s Hospital, Sugar Grove Ace Hardware will supply the pumpkins, paint, brushes, decorations and aprons. One pumpkin will be provided to each child aged 12 and under. Children will need to have an adult guardian with them at all times.
“We are happy and excited to again host this event," Driscoll said.
Sugar Grove Ace Hardware is located at 160 East Galena Boulevard in Sugar Grove, Illinois. Hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Sugar Grove Ace Hardware and Sugar Grove Pet Supply have been in business since 2014.
